Digital Twin Bosch Semiconductor
Client: Bosch Semiconductor + intolight
Task: Development of an interactive exhibit
For Bosch's new 300mm semiconductor factory, we developed a special application for a transparent display. Users are intuitively guided step-by-step through each area of production and learn about all processes and functions. The application is therefore an accurate digital replica of the Bosch factory, similar to a digital twin.
Innovative interaction
Within the application, 3D objects are presented on the screen, which users can interact with. This novel form of interaction with the content makes the application a lively, impressive experience. For example, the 3D model can show how and where Bosch chips are used in products. The display also visualizes real-time data about the Bosch factory.
Behind the transparent display is a physical model of the factory. We use augmented reality to display information about the production site.
Implementation
To implement the project, we first analyzed the processes within the factory. Based on our findings, we developed the touch application. Creating the digital 3D models of the factory and developing a suitable look and feel for the application were also part of our tasks.
